چکیده

Testudines or queloniums generally have similar morphological characteristics. Chelonians belong to the group of reptiles, subclass Anapsidia, as well order Chelonia Testudinata. Chellus fimbriatus (Schneider 1783) is a typical South American turtle, and popularly known mata-mata. It species considered exotic, in view its external appearance, with projections fibrillated nailed. Differentiated skin helps, very much, camouflage middle native environment. The ostheology pectoral pelvina waist, zeugopodium, stylepodium autopodium thoracic pelvino limb fimbriatus, present patterns relation testudines general. most prominent difference refers nailed projections. Above all, it important highlight that knowledge anatomy wild animals favors interventions veterinarians, since makes possible more assertive actions, which result better prognoses, addition greater longevity these animals.
